10 month old leopard cub eating a thompson's gazelle


Photograph taken near euphorbia hill by photographer David Gulden. The two cubs of leopard "Supu" are now around 10 months old and are resident in the area.

Verreaux's Eagle on Kileleoni hill


This photograph was taken by photographer David Gulden above Kofi Camp on Ol Choro. The Verreaux's Eagle "Black Eagle" (Aquila verreauxii) has made a nest with her partner halfway up a rock outcrop they daily feed their young chick. The female eagle is taking nesting material back to the nest.The eagle was named in honor of naturalist Jules Verreaux.

Elephant with a fetrid arrow wound


KWS vet Dr. Dominic was quick to respond to a sick elephant the rangers found near Zulu 1. From the wound it seemed that the elephant was shot in the leg with an arrow. The wound was very septic. Dr. Dominic removed all the pus and gave her a shot of IM penicillin. The cow elephant is still in the area with calf and being monitored closely.
